Who can post and buy using collabotrade.com marketplace? Top Collabotrade is an online marketplace where both - individual users as well as businesses - can fulfill their mutual requirements. Anyone with a Collabotrade user id and password can start posting ads related to selling or buying items, service, and events notices. Do I need an account to post? Top Yes! To post an advertisement, you need to register using a valid e-mail address. The registration is completely FREE and takes less than a minute to complete. This e-mail ID is used to sign in to your collabotrade.com account. It is also used to send you inquiries regarding your posting. We do not display this ID anywhere on our website. The only way it gets exposed to another user is when you respond to any query regarding your postings. How do I post ads? Top To start posting your ads, please follow these steps: Select appropriate advertisement category under "Post ads" menu on the Home page. For example, you can select either of the following categories: Post for sale ads Post services ads Post events Once you select the appropriate ad category, the Post For Sale/Service/Events page will be displayed. On the Post For Sale/Service/Events page, first fill out the important details like Title, Description, and Cost of the item etc. Next, choose a category of the item/service and fill in other details on the page. You can also upload the photo of the item. Once you upload your ad successfully, the confirmation page with your posting ID is displayed. How much do I have to pay to post Ads? Top Collabotrade is a FREE online trading platform, where buyers as well as sellers can trade items and services within their trusted communities. This means, you need not pay anything to post an ad or event on the website. Just login to collabotrade.com, and enjoy the services for FREE. Remember, there is no hidden or service charge applicable to your posting or transaction. How many free classified ads can I post? Top You can post a maximum of 100 ads in each listed category of Collabotrade i.e. for sale items, services, and events. This limit is for accounting purpose only. In case, you run out of your 100 ads limit, please contact us, and we’ll be glad to provide you with options to increase your ad posting limit. So, never think twice before posting an ad or event notices on Collabotrade. If you need to post more classified advertisements, we would be glad to increase your ad limit to provide you a hassle free trading environment. How often can I post? Top The ads can be posted as often as you want in each of the categories on Collabotrade. There is no restriction on the number of ads that can be posted in a single day. How many times may I renew my ad for free? Top You may keep renewing your classified advertisement until you sell the item or stop providing the advertised services. Just remember to come back within 60 days and renew it for FREE. Why my ad status is non-public? Top Our server automatically sends all postings that contain a photo or any unacceptable words to our reviewer team, where it is examined for any unsolicited images or text. Your Ad stays non-public until it is reviewed by one of the reviewers. If found appropriate, Collabotrade team transfers the ad to public domain. The system automatically sends a confirmation email notifying that your Advertisement has been approved and made public. Most of the postings are approved with in an hour but due to high posting volume, sometimes it may take up to 6 - 12 hours for you to receive your confirmation email. How long an ad stays active? Top An Ad stays active for 60 days. You’ll be sent a reminder email 5 days before the expiry date. If you have sold your items or not providing services, you do not need to do anything - your posting will be removed automatically after 5 days of the receipt of this email. If you haven't sold your items yet or continue providing services, you can renew your FREE ad for another 60-day period by following the instructions given in the email. Can I delete my classified Ad before it expires? Top Yes! If you have sold your item or stopped providing services before its expiry date, you may remove your classified advertisement anytime by logging on your account. The posting will be immediately removed from public domain and no longer made available for viewing. How often can I edit my ad? Top An ad can be edited or modified anytime you wish you. The ad can be edited as many number of times until your item is sold out. On edit, if your ad contains an image or any unacceptable words, it’ll be sent to our reviewer team and kept non-public until they approve the posting. How do I edit or renew my Ads? Top If you are a Collabotrade member, you can edit or renew your ads on Collabotrade by logging on to your account. Next, select the appropriate option from View ad (For sale/service/events) as listed under “View Ads” menu to display a list of your ads. To start editing an ad, select the Edit option and make required changes. Click Submit to save the changes. If you are not a Collabotrade member, kindly register now to post, edit, or renew your ads. How do I make sure that my Ad is posted in my ZIP code? Top You do not need to worry about posting location of your Ads. Our system automatically links all your postings to the ZIP code chosen at the time of registration. As soon as you post an Ad, it is available to anyone who searches within a defined range of your ZIP code. The ZIP code field is editable, which makes it easy to change your location if you move to a new city or area within the same city. How do I know if a buyer or seeker is interested in my items or services? Top Any visitor, who is interested in your items or services will use "Contact Member" link to contact you and enter his or her contact information. Our system automatically forwards these messages to the e-mail that you mentioned at the time of registering your free account with Collabotrade. If you want, you can get in touch with the person, who has shown interest in your products or services. Do I have to reply to every query I receive regarding my Ad? Top No! Several buyers or service seekers may show interest in your Ad and contact you through our website. Read the sender’s message carefully and respond accordingly. Please note: since your response will be sent to sender via email, your email ID will now be exposed to him/her. Please refer to Sellers Tips and how to avoid scams and frauds for more information. Should I include my phone number in my posting? Top It’s completely your decision and Collabotrade does not mandate the same. Though, Ads with phone numbers get faster response but at the same time, it adds the possibility of increased junk calls or your number being picked by telemarketers. We recommend you to include your phone number only if you are in hurry to sell your item or services. You should be aware that you are voluntarily disclosing any personal information. How did my public posting turn to non-public status? Who authorized this change? Top There could be two reasons why your public posting will become non-public. If you edited the posting and it has an image or any unacceptable words. If so, please be patient – your posting is being reviewed by our team of reviewers and if they find your posting is appropriate, it will be made public very soon. Other members or visitors found your posting inappropriate and hence flagged it for reviewing. If a posting is flagged more than an acceptable threshold, it is automatically taken off from public domain. Our teams of reviewers contact the member and send a request for editing. The posting stays non-public until it is edited and inappropriate contents/images are removed. Which category should I post my Ad? Top Please try to find the best category based upon your item and service type. Advertising in the right category will help ensure that buyers and service seekers find your ad easily. If you can not decide which category to place your Ad, choose "All /Do not know/ General" as your category. You may also suggest new categories and we’ll do our best to add to the list of categories. What is the maximum size of the photo allowed? What file formats are acceptable? Top The size of the file containing the photograph must not exceed 1 MB. Currently, we are supporting only JPG, JPEG, and GIF formats. However, additional file formats including BMP and PNG will be added soon so as to provide you with more options. How do I accept payment? Top Collabotrade neither encourages nor allows payment to be made via any of the following ways: Credit /Debit cards Wire Transfer Funds transfer over the Internet This is done essentially to protect any kind of online frauds and keep the environment safe and secure to promote local trading. Therefore, Collabotrade encourages you to meet the buyer in person and receive the payment in cash or in form of certified cheques. This ensures that both parties are satisfied with the transaction. In addition, you should try to sell your item/services within your community to ensure enhanced trustworthiness. If you suspect that an item posted for sale on Collabotrade may be part of a scam, please contact us immediately. Be sure to include the Post ID number in your message. What kinds of postings are prohibited? Top Collabotrade discourages you from providing untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete information. In addition, Collabotrade also discourages you from getting involved in unfair competition, anti-discrimination, or false advertising. Therefore, Collabotrade have full rights to suspend or terminate any such account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Website. All postings which do not comply with our Terms & Condition are prohibited on the website. How can I increase selling of my items and services faster? Top Everyone wants their sales to increase and every seller wants to sell his or her items first. Here are some tips from Collabotrade team, which can help you close a deal within expected time-frame - Ensure that every item that you are advertising contains an image, which depicts the current condition of the item. Choose catchy phrases and suitable titles to attract the buyers. The title should be relevant to the product and focus on its primary features. Use all possible keywords related of the item or service in the ad title. This would ensure that your item is selected in search results more often. Remember to describe your items in 3Cs format-- Crisp, Concise, and Correct. Never quote abnormally low or high prices. This may create a doubt in buyer or service seeker’s mind, and you might not be able to complete a transaction on time. How do I complete a transaction for the items/services sold at the Collabotrade.com? Top The best way to complete the transaction on Collabotrade is to meet in person with the buyer or service seeker. The terms and condition of the delivery can be decided with respect to time, money, and delivery of goods or services. Can I include URLs (or links) in my classified ad? Top Yes, you can provide URLs in your ads as this may help give the buyer or service seeker a better idea/understanding of products or services. The person viewing your posting would benefit from these links. What kind of buyer behavior is considered suspicious? Top You are advised not to provide your contact details in a hurry to sell goods and services. Ask for buyer’s verifiable phone number when you are ready to close the deal.
