How do events help keep communities informed? Top
Public events enable all the members of communities to meet at the same place and socialize with each other. If a member posts an event in a community, all the members of the community will learn about it. So, if you are organizing an event or recently learnt about some new events in your community, post it at Collabotrade.com to notify all members of your community. The examples of events include a Party, Picnic, Reunion, Mixer, Meeting, Concert, Stage Play, Exhibition, Fair, Festival, Workshop, Seminar, Conference, Sports Event, and Nature Trip etc. These events help communities grow and remain connected.

How do I create a new event? Top
Creating a new event is very simple. Follow the steps outlined below to create an event of your choice:

Login to collabotrade.com
Click "Post Ads"
Select "Post Events"
Select category of your event
Enter the title, description, date etc of your event
Click Submit

If you cannot find the right category to post, you can also suggest us a new category for events. Just click the link below the listed categories or use our feedback form to suggest new category. Collabotrade team would get back to you shortly.

How long an event stays active?    Top
An Event notification stays active for 60 days. In case the date of event gets extended beyond 60 days period, you can renew the posting again. You’ll be sent a reminder email 5 days before the expiry date. At this time, if your event has already over, you do not need to do anything - your posting will be removed automatically after 5 days of the receipt of this email. You can also login to your account anytime and delete your event posting.

How do I search for events in my neighborhood?    Top
To search for events in your neighborhood, enter the ZIP code of your area and choose the distance you want to search within. For example, if you live in New York City, you ZIP code may be 10016. However, if you don’t know your ZIP code, you can find out your ZIP code by clicking the ZIP Code Lookup link.

How do I add an event that is repeating every day, week, month or year?    Top
While posting an event Ad, you can specify whether the event repeats every month or day or year. All you have to do is to select the appropriate option (Never, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly) from the Repeat drop-down list. This would be very helpful if you are organizing weekly team meetings within your community members.

Who can post events in my communities?    Top
Only the approved community members can post events in your communities. If the community is private, then Collabotrade authenticates every member before they join. Else, if the community is public, then anyone can join the community and start posting events. Any activity whether posting classified ads for selling or buying items or services or event notifications can be done only by the approved members of a specific community.

I am having a party at my place. Should I post this on Collabotrade.com?    Top
Yes and No! If you plan to invite a close-knit group of people whom you know very well then you should not post it on Collabotrade.com. Instead, send personal invitations to the people. On the other hand, if you are having an open party where any community member can join, we suggest you to post it on Collabotrade.
