How can I find an item, service, or event I am looking for? Collabotrade provides multiple options to search for an item, service, or events. To make your search easier and quicker, you can:
How do I contact a seller or service Provider? Click "Contact Member" link provided with each posting and fill the form. An email will be sent to the seller or service provider and if they wish, they’ll contact you directly based upon the information provided by you in the contact form. If seller or provider has listed his or her phone number or e-mail address for public viewing, you may directly contact them via phone or e-mail. How do I know when a seller replies to my message? When a seller responds to your request, the e-mail is sent to your personal e-mail ID provided at the time of contact. Please note: sometimes a seller may not reply if he or she finds your offer low or if he or she has sold the item or stopped providing services. How do I search in my neighborhood? Finding suitable goods and services in your neighborhood not only promotes mutual trust, but also helps you save time and shipping costs. To search in your neighborhood, specify the ZIP code of your area in ZIP Code field. For example, for NYC, you would enter 10016. In case, you are unsure of the ZIP code of your area, click the ZIP Code Lookup link next to ZIP Code field, and find the ZIP code of your area by entering the name of your city. How do I find items and services sold by other members of my communities? To find out the items and services being sold by all your community members, login to Collabotrade.com and select the Search ads menu. Next, enter the search criteria and click “Search in My Communities” button to display the search results that match your query. Why some postings do not have a contact phone number listed in the Ad? For privacy reasons, some registered members do not list their phone numbers along with ads. However, you can contact them by clicking “Contact Member” link in their postings. When should I pay for them item or services? You are advised to pay only when you have received the desired item or service. However, you may also choose to make an advance payment provided seller or service provider has specified the same in his or her ad/posting. In case of an ongoing service, the payment can be made in advance or when half of the services are received. This ensures a fair deal and smooth transaction. Are all Ads reviewed before they become public? No. Due to heavy ad volumes, the Collabotrade team conducts random check. However, you are advised to immediately report a violation in case you find a posting having prohibited images or words. Such images or content is not allowed on Collabotrade and taken off on user’s recommendations How do I report an inappropriate Ad or image? Collabotrade discourages the use of an inappropriate ad or image. Therefore, to help us maintain a clean, fresh, and social trading platform, if you notice anything inappropriate or illegal, please inform us immediately. To do so, click on the image next to the posting, enter the reason why you find this posting inappropriate, and click submit. Your message is directly sent to the team of reviewers at Collabotrade. If found inappropriate, the ad will be taken off as soon as possible. How do I find out more about scams and frauds? Collabotrade has a dedicated page on how to find marketplace and other online scams and frauds, which is updated constantly with the latest information. What does the asterisks against each posting mean? What is the difference between Yellow and White asterisk? Asterisk represents whether a posting is in your "Wish list" or not. A yellow asterisk represents that the item, service, or event is in your wish list. However, a white or blank asterisk represents that the item, service, or event is not in your wish list. I am interested in some postings. How can I add them to my wish list? To add a posting in your Wish list, check the box next to each such posting and click “Add Selected Posting to My Wish List” button. This displays the post ID and Title of the ad in the pop up window. To view all postings in your Wish List, please click "Wish List" from user menu. You must be logged in to view your Wish List. How do I complete a transaction for the items and services bought at the Collabotrade.com? The best way to complete the transaction on Collabotrade is to meet the seller or service provider in person. The terms and condition of the delivery can be decided with respect to time, money, and delivery of goods. Collabotrade only provides a common platform for buyers/sellers and service providers/seekers to meet. It does not play any role in completing the transaction. Once you obtain the item or the service, you can pay the seller or the provider based on the terms and conditions decided amongst yourselves. What kind of Seller behavior is considered suspicious? You are advised not to provide your contact details in a hurry to buy goods or services. Ask for seller’s verifiable phone number before finalizing the deal. If you feel the buyer sounds overexcited, you are advised to be cautious. You should not commit to buy the items or service until you meet the seller or service provider and go over all rules associated with the transaction. Collabotrade aims at providing you a safe trading experience. However, to help us meet this objective, you need to play safe and act smart.
